Move Accounts

Learn how to re-order your Accounts after your Scenario is built

The ability to reorder accounts is important for building financial models in a format that works best for budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.

When importing accounts into PlanGuru:

  • From QuickBooks or Xero → Account order mirrors your accounting system.

  • From Excel → Account order follows how you map them during import.

However, if you’ve added a new account, removed unused ones, or want to restructure your Chart of Accounts, you can easily move accounts within PlanGuru.

1️⃣ Accessing the Reorder Tool

  1. Expand the left-side menu bar.

  2. Go to UtilitiesReorder Accounts.

  3. PlanGuru enters Move Accounts mode — in this state, all you can do is move accounts.
