Add a User in PlanGuru Analytics

PlanGuru Analytics makes it easy to collaborate with your team by allowing additional users to access dashboards, reports, and analytics. Before someone can access PlanGuru Analytics, they must first be added as a user in PlanGuru.

1. Prerequisite: Before you can invite a user to PlanGuru Analytics, they must already exist as a user in PlanGuru.

To verify the User Exists in PlanGuru

1. Log in to PlanGuru
2. Select Edit Profile & Preferences.

Review the lists of:

• Additional Users (for Business/Nonprofit Plans)
• Advisor / Client Users (for Advisor Plans)

If the person appears in one of these lists, they are eligible to be added to PlanGuru Analytics, skip to Step 3. If not, please go to Step 2 to add them. 

Note: A user can be added to PlanGuru with "NO ACCESS" to PlanGuru App models and still be granted access to PlanGuru Analytics.

2. Add the User to PlanGuru (If Needed)

If the user does not appear in the Additional Users or Client Users list:

1. Add them as a new PlanGuru user.
2. Assign the appropriate permissions and click SUBMIT. 
   -  An invitation email will be sent automatically to create a password, once they accept the invite and create their password, they can be added to Analytics. 

Tip: If the user only needs access to dashboards and reports, you can add them to a Company with NO ACCESS to PlanGuru models while still allowing them to use PlanGuru Analytics.

3. Log in to PlanGuru Analytics to add the new User

Once logged into PlanGuru Analytics, you will see a list of Companies within your account. 

Here you will select what type of access to add the user to.

There are 3 different user roles within PlanGuru Analytics:

1. Group Access - Access to ALL Companies within your workspace with Read/Write and Publish capabilities. By default the admin user who connected the Company will have this level of access, and can then begin to add other users within Analytics.
   
2. Additional Users - Access to one or multiple selected Companies within your workspace with Read/Write and Publish capabilities
   
3. Client Portal - Access to Read Only Dashboards and Reports that are selected by higher-access users
   
   
   
   

Click on the User Role you would like to add them and the click the "+ Invite" button

Enter the appropriate info for:

•  First Name
• Last Name
• Email Address

⚠️ Important: The email address must exactly match the email address used for the user's PlanGuru account.

Once submitted, the user will receive an email inviting them to access PlanGuru Analytics.

Once they accept the invitation, they can login (with their PlanGuru username and password) to access dashboards, reports, and other Analytics features based on the permissions assigned to their role.
